JET PROPULSION LABORATORY

 

Dr. Wessen was an employee of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 1984 March to 2024 May. His last positions at JPL were as the Project Manager of the Science Understanding through Data Science effort, the Proposal Manager for a billion dollar X-Ray Telescope (HEX-P) concept, and the Lead Study Architect for JPL’s Innovation Foundry’s A-Team. Previously, he has worked on several JPL mission projects and program areas at JPL including Program System Engineer in the Astrophysics Exoplanet Office, Telecommunications & Mission Systems Manager in the Deep Space Network Directorate serving Mars missions, Manager of the Cassini Science Planning & Operations Team, the Galileo Deputy Sequence Team Chief, and the Voyager Science Sequence Coordinator for the Uranus and Neptune encounters.
